David Palladini

Recently I was introduced the artwork of David Palladini and was instantly enchanted. I totally want a giant print of the first image for my bedroom wall, it would be paired perfectly with the macrame plant holders, crochet and airy bohemian vibe I'm going for. So now I have another thing to hunt & collect!

this is not project runway

I love me some avant garde fashion; garments that channel Star Wars, paper, Grecian slaves, medieval evildoers, and the future simultaneously really speak to me. I don't care about them being wearable or not wearable, I just love the whole damn effect. These are from the 2011 summer fashion masterclass at the Arts of Fashion Foundation in Paris.

decades

 via here & here

These are fun, no? In trying to choose a favorite I so wanted to choose something other than the 1920s image just because I like that era so much, but alas, that is the one I like the best, or maybe the 2000 because the lil' gal sort of looks like a cat. Which image is your favorite, your usual taste in fashion of the decades notwithstanding?

Jenny Belin | portrait artist

I don't get a lot of mail  at my shop, pretty much just bills and the occasional funny correspondence from my mother. But this morning in my mailbox, along with my utility bill, was a sweet postcard from a blog reader! I think I said outloud, "oh man, how great!". The sweet note was from Jenny Belin, a portrait artist of people and pets and after looking at her site I liked her work so much I wanted to share it with you. I also want her to paint Ella, who is, dare I say, the perfect muse...

Neil Krug | photographer

Los Angeles based artist/photographer Neil Krug's work is terribly hip and terribly '60s/'70s, no? I dig it.
