1940s and 50s, and Meandering Thoughts Therein


 



I am hearing a rumor that people aren't buying 1950s vintage right now. Different periods of vintage clothing come in and out of fashion. But I have found there is almost always a market for any given period. There are niche buyers who want only 1920s, the steam punk people, the rockabillys, the Victorian collectors. I really believe the defining quality that makes a period piece sellable

Accessories in Red


I tried to be inspired to cleverness. "Accessory to a ____". "Accessory after the _____". Nope. Nothing there. Or at least no inspiration that got me to these two great red accessories.So we will have to be content with pretty pictures.

Vintage Shoes Can Be Comfortable. Really.

Don't let anyone tell you vintage shoes can't be comfortable and wearable. Well, pointy toe stilettos excepted. Those aren't comfortable if they are 1950s, 1990s or 2010s. You just have to hunt a bit. And these 4 pair are proof. Our Test Team tried them all on and pronounced them surprisingly comfy.
